Cruise Report 6th November 1967
The catches consisted almost entirely of cod (size range 20 to 100 cm), haddock (size range 12 to 80 cm) and redfish (size range 10 to 55 cm).

At the end of the trip a call was made at Klakksvig and two disabled British seamen were taken on board for passage to Aberdeen, which was reached at 0900 hours on the 27th.

Explorer awarded £20,000 conservation grant
The Explorer has been awarded a grant of £20,000 by The Pilgrim Trust to support the development of a Conservation Management Plan for the Leith based charity.

A course was then set for the "Anthon Dohrn" Bank between St. Kilda and Rockall and the ship worked an intensive grid of the area.
